Actually this is a model from Return of the Jedi...one of those Rebel gun turrets from the ice planet Hoth. Okay, I'm not exactly sure in which movie they were on Hoth, they are all just "Star Wars" to me.

And, it's really just my new tool height gage. Found another random chunk of steel and thought it would be more durable. The head is tapped for a set screw that seats on the flat. Instead of trying to make it exactly the right height, I went for adjustable. Nice.
